Job description
Powder Coating PainterThe powder coating painter will work with the paint department, use industry standard powder painting techniques and processes to surface prep and apply powder paint on aluminum and steel substrates. Typical paint department processes include sanding, polishing, loading, unloading, cleaning etching, pretreat, masking, painting, touchup and rework processes.Essential Duties:Execute production work orders, gather required tools and materials, follows instructions and paint specifications required for job.Prepare parts for coating by sanding, wiping, hanging parts on the conveyor.Will be responsible for inspecting for and maintaining a high level of quality for all coated parts produced by department.Use manual hand-held guns to apply powder paint as the parts move by on the conveyor.Operate all coating equipment including guns, pumps, agitators and booth filtration systems.Follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.Proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment.Requirements:Background in powder coating and industrial paintingStrong attention to detailAble to work in fast paced environmentDemonstrated ability to work independentlyAbility to work within and advance the Premier Marine Core Values:Integrity: Navigating with a moral compass, doing the right thing every time.Excellence: Relentless pursuit of exceptionalism, laser focus on continuous improvement.Attitude: Contagious optimism that fuels a powerful can-do culture.Collaboration: Leveraging collective innovation to achieve world-class results.Physical RequirementsThe physical demands needed are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job (sitting, standing, walking the manufacturing floor, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds).
