Powder Coater – Paint & Finishing DepartmentWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our Paint & Finishing Department. The Powder Coater will be responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing fabricated components, electrical components, subassemblies, and miscellaneous parts to meet production and quality requirements.The ideal candidate will have previous powder coating, painting, finishing, or manufacturing experience, along with strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious and dependable individual looking to build a career in a manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesPrepare parts and components for the powder coating processPerform powder coating and finishing operations according to production requirementsClean, mask, hang, and prepare parts prior to coatingOperate and monitor powder coating and finishing equipmentApply powder coating evenly and accurately to meet specified finish requirementsRead and interpret work instructions, build specifications, and quality requirementsInspect finished parts for proper coverage, color, texture, and overall qualityIdentify and correct coating defects or inconsistencies as directedPerform finishing tasks such as masking, cleaning, touch-up, and other preparation workProperly handle fabricated components, electrical components, subassemblies, and miscellaneous partsMaintain proper powder coating equipment and work areasMaintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standardsFollow all safety rules, plant policies, and standard operating proceduresCommunicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure production and quality requirements are metAssist coworkers and other areas of the Paint & Finishing Department as neededPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentPrevious powder coating, painting, finishing, or manufacturing experience preferredPrevious experience with spray equipment, hand tools, or finishing equipment is a plusAbility to follow detailed work instructions and specificationsAbility to read and interpret assembly drawings or production documentsStrong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issuesReliable attendance and positive attitudeAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to pass a background check and drug screenPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and handle parts up to 30 lbs.Ability to stand for extended periods, including the entire shiftAbility to bend, squat, kneel, and climb a stepladder as neededAbility to reach above and forward at least 18 inchesManual dexterity to handle small hardware, parts, and finishing equipmentGood vision and attention to detail for inspecting coated parts and assembliesAbility to work safely around paint, powder coating materials, and manufacturing equipmentWhat We OfferStarting pay of $20–$22/hrCompetitive pay and performance-based incentivesComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with matchPaid time off and holidaysSafe, positive, and team-oriented work environmentTraining and hands-on developmentOpportunities for career growth and advancement within the Paint & Finishing Department
