Job description
Finishing OperatorWe are seeking a detail-oriented Finishing Operator to join our team on a weekend shift schedule. The Finishing Operator will be responsible for perfecting and enhancing the final appearance of products through various finishing techniques. This includes working with fabricated components, electrical components, subassemblies, and miscellaneous parts. The role requires operating and monitoring finishing equipment, ensuring quality standards, and following safety procedures at all times. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious and reliable individual looking for steady weekend work in a manufacturing environment.Responsibilities:Complete parts as needed to meet production demandsPerform finishing tasks such as masking, bead blasting, cleaning, and platingRead and interpret build specifications, quality requirements, and work documentsEnsure products meet required quality standards and specificationsVisually inspect parts for defects and perform quality checks as directedMaintain a clean and organized work area (5S standards)Follow all safety rules, plant policies, and standard operating proceduresCommunicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure accurate completion of tasksProvide assistance to coworkers as neededDemonstrate proper use of tools and finishing equipmentPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentPrevious finishing or manufacturing experience (or transferrable hands-on experience)Ability to read assembly drawings and follow instructionsExperience using hand tools and handling intricate partsReliable attendance and positive attitudeAbility to pass a background check and drug screenPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift and handle parts up to 30 lbs.Stand for extended time periods (up to entire shift)Ability to bend, squat, kneel, or climb a stepladder while workingReach above and forward at least 18 inchesManual dexterity for handling small hardware and partsGood vision for inspecting parts and assembliesWhat We Offer:Competitive pay and performance-based incentivesComprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k with match, paid time off, holidays)Safe, positive, and team-oriented work environmentOpportunities for training, growth, and career advancement
