Procter & Gamble Manufacturing TechnicianThe Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) is an American multinational consumer goods company. P&G's South Boston Manufacturing Center at The Gillette World Shaving Headquarters is conveniently located off Interstate 93 and is within walking distance to MBTA's Broadway Red Line T stop and South Station Commuter Rail service.Starting Pay / Salary Range: $54.21/hr or $113,000/yr (+ shift differential) with the potential opportunity to earn up to $60.55/hr or $126,000/yr (+ shift differential) as you grow in the organization.Are you ready to gain new skills to help run and maintain the latest production technology and equipment for the world's biggest brands? The South Boston Manufacturing Center is the home of the Gillette World Shaving Headquarters and produces household grooming mainstays like Mach 3, Fusion, Labs, and Venus shaving products. Join a team that keeps production flowing, meets performance goals, and maintains a high level of quality for our products.The Gillette World Shaving Headquarters is looking for licensed Second-Class Engineer Control Room Operators to work in our power generation facility.Working behind the scenes in our manufacturing plants, Control Room Operators (CRO) are vital to the success of our business at P&G. As a CRO, you will work as owners and leaders of the shift and equipment, helping to keep our manufacturing center running.Control Room Operators do various types of work, operating and maintaining critical power generation equipment, such as:7.2 MW Co-generation Combined CycleSteam turbines, boilers, chillers, compressed air, vacuum, and process water systemsWater treatment systemsPermit compliance testingThe South Boston Manufacturing Center operates 7-days per week. Technicians work any day of the week, including weekends. Work on weekends may be as overtime or as part of the Technician's normal schedule. Changes in business volume and production requirements can cause the plant to occasionally change the length of work shifts or the rotation schedule. The hours of work vary from 8 to 12 hours per day. Shift rotations vary from working a single straight shift to working two or three rotating shifts. Technicians are expected to be willing to rotate and to work any shift. License requirements must be maintainedHave at least 3 years' experience in operations and/or maintenance of major power plant equipmentDemonstrate a good understanding of and experience in compressed air systems, chillers, turbines, boilers, RO, sea water/process water/waste water systemsWe believe in order to be able to perform on the job, you will need to meet the following physical requirements:Use basic hand and power toolsLift 50 pounds by bending and stooping; climb, stand, and move around on stairs, ladders and platforms; twist, turn and bendEnter confined spacesStand on concrete floors for an extended period of time.
