Our wide experience in meeting industrial plant maintenance needs enables us to implement systems and processes that keep your facilities and equipment running at consistently optimum levels.MOR PPM Inc. is seeking qualified Pipe Welders in Salisbury, NC.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Executing pipe welding according to welding procedures, specifications, and quality standardsReading and interpreting blueprints and proceduresMeasure, cut, and fabricate material according to specificationsRepair/Install/Replace piping or pipe components according to specificationsFabricate and install piping using brazing, soldering, tig, mig, stick, and flux core weldingExamining previously installed pipelines and systems for potential defectsPrepare welding surfaces for a welding operation by cutting and shaping materials using hand and power toolsCommunicate with team, customer, and team leaders on project status and project needsOperate heavy machinery such as forklifts to move pipes or materialsConduct routine maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment and toolsAdhere to all safety requirements including LOTO, PPE, and other task related safety requirementsQualifications & Experience:Possess the ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing)Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and hydraulic diagramsHave a complete set of tools appropriate for Industrial pipe fitting/weldingAbility to stoop, bend, manipulate tools in small spacesPerform work at heightsPerform and pass pipe coupon weld testAt least 4 years Pipe welding preferably in an industrial setting.Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically via DocuSignMay be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 poundsMust posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified aboveMust be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areasMust have full range of motion consistent with ageMust be able to climb and maintain balance laddersMust be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noisesVisual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfacesSafety/Steel toe shoes are required.Notice to prospective employees: There have been fraudulent postings and emails regarding job openings.
