Job description
Welder/FabricatorMOR PPM Inc. is seeking Welder/Fabricators in Aiken, SC.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Read blueprints to craft and fabricate tire manufacturing equipment and componentsRepair equipment as needed; replace faulty equipmentDiagnose and troubleshoot faulty equipment and componentsWeld using mig, tig, or stickOperate lifts and cranes to install equipment and componentsExperience:2+ years experience welding/fabricating is required. 2 years industrial maintenance experience, preferred. Technical training preferred but not required. Pipe fitting experience preferred.Qualifications & Skills:Possess the ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing) accurately and concisely on technical mattersRead and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawingsValid drivers licenseProficient in GTAW/GMAW/FCAW and acetylene weldingBasic set of hand tools is requiredAbility to proficiently operate power tools used for metal fabricationAbility to work at heights and manipulate tools in small spacesInterpersonal skills such as oral, verbal and written communication and reasoning is required.Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 poundsMust posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified aboveMust be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areasMust have full range of motion consistent with ageMust be able to climb and maintain balance laddersMust be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noisesVisual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfacesSafety/Steel toe shoes are required.
