Practice Hematology/Oncology in Brewer, Maine
Northern Light Health Eastern Maine Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologist to join our thriving Cancer Institute in Brewer, Maine. This is an opportunity to become part of a highly collaborative, well-established team delivering exceptional cancer care in a community setting with the resources and sophistication of an academic program.
You’ll join a multidisciplinary team of medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pediatric oncologists, and nurse practitioners/physician associates at the state-of-the‑art Lafayette Family Cancer Institute, where physicians enjoy a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient care.

Our comprehensive, patient-centered approach includes:
Formal collaboration with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute , providing access to 55+ adult oncology clinical trials and evidence-based treatment pathways
Fully integrated, on-site services including imaging, phlebotomy, radiation oncology, and lymphedema care
Partnership with The Jackson Laboratory for advanced genomic testing
A dedicated genetic counseling program
Strong surgical support including breast, neurosurgery, cardiothoracic, and colorectal programs
Multidisciplinary, disease‑specific tumor boards
Opportunities to develop subspecialty interests
Exceptional daily support from nurse practitioners and oncology‑certified nurses
A unique oral medicine management program
A dedicated Survivorship Clinic supporting long‑term patient needs
Compensation Information:
$522,181 base salary with the ability to earn additional compensation based on productivity and quality incentives.
The compensation range listed reflects the range Northern Light Health anticipates relying on in setting the wages for the position. The range may not necessarily include all additional compensation elements available, including but not limited to call pay, leadership stipends, etc.

The Lafayette Family Cancer Institute, dedicated in 2009, is located approximately 3 miles from the main Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center campus, and is one of only two cancer centers in Maine to be a part of a formal collaboration with Dana-Farber Cancer Care Collaborative, having access to over (55) adult oncology clinical trials.
