Job description
Step into an impactful contract position supporting the wellbeing of young learners in a Pre-K and Elementary School setting. This role is ideal for an LPN Nurse passionate about pediatric care and committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children. Located conveniently near Dacula, GA, you will work closely with school staff to ensure a safe and healthy environment for students while providing essential nursing services.
Key Qualifications:
Current and valid LPN license in the state
Experience working in school or pediatric settings preferred
Familiarity with health protocols specific to Pre-K and elementary-aged children
Excellent communication skills and compassionate bedside manner
Ability to handle confidentiality and sensitive information professionally
Capability to manage basic health emergencies and administer first aid
Willingness to accompany students on the bus, riding to and from their homes as needed
Primary Responsibilities: Deliver daily nursing care, medication administration, and monitoring for students with medical needs
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support individualized health plans
Observe, report, and document any changes in students' health status
Promote healthy practices and provide health education as appropriate within the school
Maintain up-to-date, accurate health records in compliance with school policies
Assist students on and off the school bus, offering support and supervision during transit to ensure safety and comfort
