Job Summary
A nationwide law firm is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pre-Litigation Assistant to support its First Party Property team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced legal environment, possesses strong organizational skills, and is comfortable managing client communication and case documentation throughout the pre-suit process.
In addition to competitive hourly compensation, this position offers a performance-based incentive package.
Responsibilities
Assist attorneys with preparing and organizing pre-litigation case documentation and records.
Manage case files from inception through resolution under attorney supervision.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case information within the firm’s case management system.
Communicate regularly with clients, insurance companies, adjusters, and third parties regarding case updates and documentation.
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, emails, and case-related communications.
Serve as a liaison between clients, attorneys, and insurance carriers throughout the pre-suit process.
Escalate issues and case developments to attorneys as appropriate.
Support the transition of files from pre-litigation to litigation.
Handle a high-volume caseload while maintaining accuracy and organization.
Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
Prior experience as a pre-litigation assistant, legal assistant, or paralegal preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and deadline management skills.
