Job description
Precision Machining OperatorWe are seeking a motivated and detail oriented CNC Mill and Lathe Operator to support a precision manufacturing operation. The position is responsible for operating CNC and other industrial machinery, producing quality components, performing dimensional inspections, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining safe and efficient production processes.The ideal candidate should have hands on CNC machine operation experience, strong mechanical aptitude, blueprint and GD&T knowledge, precision measurement skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast paced manufacturing environment.Job Roles and ResponsibilitiesSet up operate and monitor CNC milling machines CNC lathes and CNC machining centersOperate stamping presses flexo presses press brake machines and other manufacturing equipment as requiredRead and interpret blueprints technical drawings production documents and GD&T requirementsPerform dimensional inspections using micrometers calipers gauges and other precision measuring instrumentsMonitor machine performance and troubleshoot basic mechanical and equipment issuesPerform basic machine maintenance and help minimize production downtimeFollow manufacturing safety procedures and maintain a clean organized work environmentHandle materials tooling and production components using appropriate equipmentSupport material handling packaging fabrication assembly and production activitiesWork with team members to achieve production quality and delivery requirementsMaintain attention to detail and ensure manufactured components meet specificationsFollow production procedures and accurately interpret manufacturing documentationQualifications and CertificationsHands on experience operating CNC mills CNC lathes or similar industrial machineryManufacturing or precision machining experienceAbility to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawingsKnowledge of GD&T and machining tolerancesStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilityExperience using micrometers calipers gauges and other precision measurement toolsKnowledge of shop math and machining calculationsFamiliarity with CNC programming or CAM programmingKnowledge of Fanuc controls is highly desirableUnderstanding of tooling setup and fabrication processesWelding experience is preferredMaterials handling experience is preferredForklift experience or certification is a plusKnowledge of manufacturing safety standardsAbility to work independently and as part of a production teamStrong attention to detail and problem solving skillsHigh school diploma technical training or equivalent manufacturing experience is preferredBenefits401k401k matchingHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insurancePaid time offEmployee assistance programProfessional development assistanceTuition reimbursementReferral program
