Job TitleAllegheny Health NetworkJob DescriptionGeneral Overview:This role works in a fast-paced environment that receives prehospital reports from EMS agencies coming into AHN hospitals and other hospital facilities within the area. This position also works closely with hospital staff in a professional and efficient manner.Essential Responsibilities:Receives prehospital reports from EMS providers on ground or air ambulances. Relays reports to multiple receiving facilities.Coordinates and dispatches specialty teams within AHN facilities.Enters data for all activities performed within the communication center.Provides direct communication to security staff and dispatches officers when indicated.Monitors safety and security for areas of responsibility.Performs other duties as assigned or required.Qualifications:Minimum:PA EMT or Paramedic license or EMS Compact Privilege to Practice in Pennsylvania at the EMT or Paramedic levelPreferred:Dispatching experience for an EMS agency or emergency operations centerTwo years of experience in EMS and/or 911 Communications centerAdditional Employment Requirements:CPR or obtain within 6 months of hire.Disclaimer: The job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and essential duties and responsibilities of work performed by employees within this job title.
