Our Ambulatory Surgery Center allows us to provide safe, efficient, and compassionate surgical care in an outpatient setting.
nPosition Overview
nWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pre-Op/PACU Nurse to join our surgical team. This unique role combines both pre-operative and post-recovery care, ensuring patients are supported throughout their surgical journey. The position is Monday–Friday, daytime hours only—no nights, weekends, or holidays.
nResponsibilities
nnConduct thorough pre-operative assessments, including vitals, medical history, medications, and allergies.
nStart and manage IVs, verify consents, and prepare patients for surgery.
nProvide patient and family education on surgical procedures, expectations, and recovery instructions.
nMonitor patients in the PACU following anesthesia—manage vitals, airway, pain, and nausea.
nAdminister medications and treatments per physician orders and discharge protocols.
nEnsure patients meet established recovery criteria before safe discharge.
nCollaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to deliver seamless care.
nMaintain compliance with ASC safety and infection control standards.
nSupport seamless patient care by assisting other Solstice Health clinic locations as needed.
n nQualifications
nnActive RN license in Wisconsin.
nBLS/ACLS certification required.
n1–2 years of recent experience in Pre-Op, PACU, or perioperative nursing.
nStrong communication, assessment, and critical-thinking skills.
nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced outpatient surgical environment.
