Lead our new pre-school center (ages 2-5 years) at Ashland Roots Community Center in San Leandro, CA$74,000 - $77,000 a yearFull-time @ 37.5 Hours/week with excellent company paid benefits!Two classrooms licensed for up to 36 childrenCenter hours, Mon-Fri, 7am-6pmBENEFITS AND PERKSMission-driven company culture.100% paid employee premium for Kaiser, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance plans.403(b) Retirement plans with matching contributions.Paid Time Off for vacation and illness.12 Paid Holidays PLUS an added paid birthday holiday.Employee Discount Program.And more!RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDEResponsible for the overall center operations to ensure quality, safety and subsidy compliant childcare services.Hire and supervise center staff and ensure appropriate lesson plans and child-teacher interactions.Maintains proper teacher-to-child ratios in accordance with licensing requirements.Maintain enrollment in collaboration with Enrollment Specialists to ensure operating costs stay within budget.Manage daily food program, including reporting requirements, ordering food supplies, supervising meal preparation staff, and complying with child nutritional needs.Participating in classrooms as needed to substitute, provide breaks or ratio coverage needs.Oversee and/or conduct parent/teacher conferences and provide information to parents concerning their child's development, abilities, and areas of concern.Perform outreach activities to support center enrollment.May provide support and work in collaboration with other Center Directors and teaching staff.Other duties and special projects as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSSite Supervisor or Master Teacher permitRelated experience, supervisory experience preferred.Excellent communication and people skills to interact with diverse needs of staff, children and familiesDependable and good time management skillsProficient Computer skills using Microsoft office and Specialized Child Care Software applications.Current pediatric CPR/First Aid certificationLive scan clearanceHealth Screening Report including TB test clearance.Commitment to the mission and values of Davis StreetPHYSICAL DEMANDSAbility to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.Ability to lift children or heavy items up to 50 lbs. unassisted.Ability to bend, stand, climb, walk, and perform physical activities as needed.Ability to work safely in an environment that may include bodily fluids, waste, germs, childhood illnesses, and diseases.
