Job description
Press Brake OperatorA Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to bend, shape, and form metal parts according to precise specifications.• Follow and execute work according to specified instructions, including sequence based controls, work instructions, and engineering drawings. • Perform proper machine start up and shut down procedures. • Set up, load, and operate brake or punch press equipment according to planned configurations. • Evaluate product quality, identify issues, and take corrective actions to prevent external defects or dimensional problems. • Select and use appropriate metal finishing tools (grinders, abrasives, etc.) to meet surface finish requirements. • Safely operate material handling equipment such as cranes, positioners, magnets, and hooks. • Use material control devices including fixtures, templates, and related tools. • Maintain safe and responsible work practices at all times.Required Skills and QualificationsTechnical Skills: Proficiency in operating CNC press brakes, understanding machine controls, and performing basic programming if requiredMathematical and Measurement Skills: Ability to perform basic math and geometry calculations for accurate bending and alignmentAttention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and quality to ensure parts meet specificationsProblem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and make adjustments during productionPhysical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, handle heavy materials, and perform physically demanding tasks
