Press Brake OperatorJob Title: Press Brake Operator Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Kings Mountain Pay: $20-$26 Schedule: 6am-2:30pm Monday-Friday, Saturday as production dictatesJob Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dependable Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience setting up and operating press brake equipment, reading blueprints, and producing accurately formed metal components to required specifications. This position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality.Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend and form metal components according to specificationsRead and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, work orders, and production specificationsSelect and install appropriate tooling and dies and adjust machine settings for each jobMeasure and inspect finished parts to verify dimensions, angles, tolerances, and overall qualityUse measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and angle gaugesMake machine adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and product qualityLoad, position, and safely handle sheet metal and fabricated materialsPerform basic machine setup, troubleshooting, and routine equipment checksIdentify and report defective materials, equipment issues, or quality concernsMaintain a clean and organized work area and follow all required safety and PPE proceduresMeet established production and quality expectations and complete required production documentationPerform additional duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Previous experience operating a press brake or similar metal fabrication equipmentAbility to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work instructionsAbility to accurately read a tape measure and use precision measuring equipmentBasic understanding of metal fabrication, bend angles, dimensions, and tolerancesAbility to perform basic math, including fractions and decimalsStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workAbility to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently or as part of a teamDependable attendance and punctualityPreferred Qualifications:Experience operating CNC press brake equipmentExperience performing press brake setups and changing tooling/diesPrevious experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environmentExperience working from detailed blueprints and tight tolerancesCore Competencies: Press Brake Operation, CNC Machinery, Metal Fabrication, Blueprint Reading, Machine Setup, Tooling and Dies, Precision Measurement, Quality Inspection, Manufacturing Safety, Mechanical Aptitude, Attention to Detail, Production
