Job description

Press Brake OperatorThis role focuses on programming, setting up, and operating press brake equipment to produce high-quality parts in a clean, well-organized manufacturing environment. You will work primarily on 1st shift, using your blueprint reading and precision measurement skills to complete complex jobs with minimal supervision while supporting other operators as a technical resource.ResponsibilitiesProgram, set up, and operate press brake equipment to produce parts according to specifications.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and bend sequences to determine job requirements.Select appropriate tooling and make setup adjustments to achieve accurate bends and dimensions.Adjust programs and machine settings to maintain consistent quality throughout production runs.Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment such as tape measures and calipers to verify dimensional accuracy.Troubleshoot production issues and make necessary adjustments to equipment or programs to resolve problems.Handle complex press brake jobs with minimal supervision, ensuring efficient and accurate completion.Serve as a technical resource for other operators by providing guidance on setups, programs, and troubleshooting when needed.Essential SkillsAt least 1 year of press brake operation experience.At least 1 year of experience setting up a press brake.Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.Proficiency in using tape measures to verify part dimensions.Experience with brake press machine operation in a production environment.Ability to use calipers and other precision measuring tools to inspect parts.Competence with hand tools used in press brake setup and adjustment.Additional Skills & QualificationsProgramming experience for press brake equipment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.Ability to work independently on complex jobs while also collaborating with team members.Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting equipment and production issues.Why Work Here?Employees enjoy a stable environment with long-tenured team members, reflecting strong retention and a positive culture. The dress code is casual, allowing employees to wear shorts, and team members may listen to music using one airpod or a speaker while working, as appropriate for safety and productivity. The role is on 1st shift, typically 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Fridays, with occasional Saturday work depending on production needs.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marne, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
