Press Operator OpportunityOur client, a multi-generation, family-owned manufacturer with a 160+ year legacy, is seeking a Press Operator to run a multi-daylight molded product press at its new Athens-area facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced press or process operator to work with advanced equipment in a brand-new plant while benefiting from the stability and culture of an established family business.What We Offer:The strength of a high-volume, family-owned manufacturer that has grown steadily for more than a century and a half.A cutting-edge facility near Athens, described as one of the most advanced plants of its kind.The chance to be part of the core press team shaping processes, standards, and best practices from the outset.Competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, FSA, and 401(k).Recognition for attendance and performance, along with clear opportunities for advancement.A culture that values craftsmanship, quality, and safety, with strong support from leadership and engineering.Long-term career potential as the facility ramps up production and adds new technical and leadership roles.If You Have:Experience operating multi-daylight presses, hot presses, or similar large-scale production presses.Strong mechanical aptitude and proven troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing setting.Ability to read and follow technical recipes, process specifications, and quality standards.Familiarity with statistical process control or other data-driven process adjustment tools.Leadership and communication skills to coordinate with assistant operators and support staff.Commitment to safety, PPE use, and adherence to standard operating procedures.Physical ability to handle panels, assist with die changes, and work on your feet throughout the shift.You Will Be:Operating and monitoring a multi-daylight door skin press, including loading and unloading panels and controlling press cycles.Managing upstream and downstream systems such as refiners, resin systems, dryers, forming lines, and press outfeed to maintain steady flow.Maintaining a stable production process according to recipe and specifications, using quality test data and SPC to fine-tune conditions.Identifying and correcting production issues quickly to minimize downtime and scrap, and escalating complex problems when needed.Performing routine operational maintenance, inspections, and leading safe, efficient die changes.Keeping the press area and surrounding equipment clean, organized, and compliant with safety expectations.Training and guiding assistant operators and support staff on procedures, best practices, and quality expectations.Completing shift logs, downtime reports, process adjustment records, and quality documentation accurately.
