AIR-CONDITIONED manufacturing environment where you can be off almost every FRIDAY, SATURDAY, and SUNDAY.We are currently looking for Press Operators on the first shift, starting at $20.25/hour. MAT Industries, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of air compressors in the Jackson community, located at 213 Industrial Dr., Jackson, TN 38301.Come be a part of a company where work/life balance is part of our everyday culture! Hours are 1st Shift Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. Our ten-hour shift offers THREE PAID breaks along with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. World-class domestic manufacturing facilities allow MAT Industries to offer high-quality air compressors, air tools, and accessories to retailers under brands such as Powermate®, Industrial Air®, Industrial Air Contractor®, and Sanborn®, as well as private labels. Our air compressors are sold through retailers, including major home centers, hardware co-ops, independents, and farm and fleet stores around the US.We look forward to seeing you at MAT Industries!Required:Experience setting up and running presses / occasionally progressive presses.Follow all safety regulations and encourage co-workers to follow safety regulations.Follow all company policies and procedures and encourage co-workers to follow company policies and procedures.Read and interpret blueprints for product specifications.Conduct quality inspections of work.Maintain equipment in good working condition and report maintenance and safety concerns.Conducted repairs, modifications, and retrofits on production items.Provide data to assist in monitoring and tracking project status.Assist in training junior employees and inspecting their work.Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.Sign off on completed work orders and quality of work.Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.Actively participate in the development of a LEAN manufacturing culture.Qualifications2+ years' work experience operating presses, overhead cranes2+ years' experience with LINK systems automation controlsHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
