Western States is looking for an experienced Presstek Press Operator to join our team in Butler, WI! If you have offset printing experience, a strong eye for detail, and take pride in producing quality work, this could be the opportunity for you.As a Presstek Press Operator, you'll be responsible for setting up and operating the press, making adjustments during production, monitoring print quality, and ensuring each job meets customer specifications. Apply today!What Does My Workday Look Like In This Role?Set-up of 1 to 4 colors/coating machines prior to printing.Properly inspect product visually.Proper checking of order throughout course of production to ensure accurate printing of product.Removing paper jams, preventative maintenance when scheduled.Adjust ink pressures.Maintain press and surrounding area to our lean specificationsQualificationsSuccessful people in this role have the following skills:Operator experienceExcellent mechanical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.Strong analytical abilities: analyzing machine operations, inspection of products, locating troublesome elements within machines necessary mechanical adjustments to eliminate quality variations and mechanical malfunctions.Manual dexterityAbility to inspect product visually.Essential Functions Ability to stand for approximate duration of scheduled shift (minus paid breaks), lift up to 20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally, repetitive grasping, frequent, twisting, lifting above shoulder height, occasional bend, reach, crouch, or stoop during an eight hour shift. Sensory requirements are tactile/touch with hands and digits, near and far visual acuity, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Reasoning, mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills for appropriate operations of the equipment.
