Press OperatorNow hiring for a Press Operator Location: York, PA Pay Rate: $17.00 – $21.00 per hour Schedule: 1st and 2nd Run the Gear. Earn the Check. This opportunity is based on a Press Operator career path and is being offered by Staffmark to qualified candidates.Job DutiesOperate hydraulic stamping presses to form, cut, or shape precision metal partsLoad and feed raw metal material into the press safely and accuratelyChange and set up plates, tools, dies, and fixtures as required for each jobAdjust press settings to meet production and quality specificationsInspect finished parts for defects and dimensional accuracyFollow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work areaEducation RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED preferred. Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.Experience RequirementsExperience operating manufacturing or production equipment. Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation. Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation. Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain production standards. Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and dependable attendance. 2+ years of experience running a stamping press (metals)Preferred QualificationsPrevious machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred. Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a Press Operator.Physical CapabilitiesAbility to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery.
