JOB DESCRIPTION
The Pricing Strategy Sr. Analyst - Power Distribution supports the review and evaluation of commercial requests by conducting pricing analysis, assessing business justification, and ensuring adherence to company policies and SOX compliance standards. This role partners with Sales, Pricing, Finance, and Operations to provide data-driven insights that support pricing decisions, improve commercial performance, and minimize business risk. This position is responsible for analyzing deal profitability, identifying trends, and supporting continuous improvement efforts across commercial processes.
Position Summary
The Pricing Strategy Sr. Analyst - Power Distribution supports the review and evaluation of commercial requests by conducting pricing analysis, assessing business justification, and ensuring adherence to company policies and SOX compliance standards. This role partners with Sales, Pricing, Finance, and Operations to provide data-driven insights that support pricing decisions, improve commercial performance, and minimize business risk. This position is responsible for analyzing deal profitability, identifying trends, and supporting continuous improvement efforts across commercial processes.
Responsibilities
Conduct pricing and profitability analyses to support Deviation of Policy (DOP) requests, commercial approvals, and strategic business decisions.
Prepare financial and commercial evaluations of opportunities, including margin analysis, pricing recommendations, and risk assessments.
Support the review of pricing exceptions and contract terms by identifying potential financial and commercial impacts.
Collaborate with Sales, Pricing, Finance, Operations, and other stakeholders to gather data, validate assumptions, and support decision-making.
Analyze pricing trends, competitive dynamics, and business performance metrics to identify risks and opportunities.
Assist with process standardization and workflow improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure analyses, recommendations, and supporting documentation comply with company policies, delegated authority guidelines, and SOX requirements.
Support ad hoc business analyses and projects as needed to drive commercial excellence and operational improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Analytics.
2-5 years of experience in Pricing, Analytics, Finance, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365.
Experience working with large datasets, reporting tools, and data visualization platforms (Power BI preferred).
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings to stakeholders.
