Medical Assistantq-Health Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant with Family Practice / Primary Care or Internal Medicine experience to work with a single physician in Dickinson, Texas. This opportunity is well suited for a Medical Assistant who is an empathetic, active listener with good communication skills and who has front desk experience.In this position, you will:check in patients,obtain insurance cards, copays and outstanding balances,assist patients with registration forms,check patients out,send patient prescriptions, labs, and imaging orders.Experience with lab draws, injections, EKG, Pap smears, ear irrigation, HMO referrals, and prior authorizations for medication and imaging is a plus, but not required.As part of the q-Health family, you will be offered a full benefit package including 401k, medical, dental, vision, life, as well as short- and long-term disability.An ideal candidate has great customer service, teamwork, and multi-tasking skills. We prefer Registered/Certified Medical Assistant and Spanish fluency, but neither is required.
