Job description
Site Medical Director – Rutledge State Prison (Columbus, GA)
Full‑time position. Location: Columbus, GA. Shift: Day.
Responsibilities
The Medical Director provides the clinical direction needed to meet service delivery requirements, directs clinical services for patients, and supervises medical staff at the assigned site under the supervision of the Statewide Medical Director.
The Medical Director collaborates with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided, and participates in various committees including Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics as requested.
Qualifications
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one.
Board eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
Ability to pass credentialing and background check.
