Job description
Sun River Health is looking to hire an accomplished Full‑time Primary Care Physician (IM/FM) to join our team at our Copiague site. The Primary Care Physician will manage a diverse patient panel with multiple co‑morbidities in a busy Federally Qualified Health Center. Care is delivered in collaboration with advanced practice providers, on‑site support staff, with an emphasis on preventative health and quality patient care.

Job Type: Full‑time
Pay: $237,182.40 – $269,755.20 per year
Sign On Bonus: $5,000 (Sign‑On Bonus for Eligible External Applicants – Terms and Conditions Apply)

Responsibilities
Participate in planning and developing health care services, treatment of conditions and illnesses within scope.
Diagnose and provide treatment plans for patients.
Collaborate and supervise advanced provider clinicians.
Complete and participate in chart review process.
Refer and follow‑up patients when needed.
Collaborate with other members of the Health Center to maintain high quality standards and achieve client satisfaction.
Clinical supervision of students or new providers, ensuring adherence to best practices and organizational standards.
Mentorship and guidance to students or new providers.
Facilitate educational sessions, workshops or seminars.
Assess the performance of students or new providers, provide constructive feedback.
Ensure high‑quality patient care while supervising and mentoring.
Coordinate educational activities with academic institutions and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
Doctorate Degree (MD, DO)
Active/Valid license as an MD or DO in New York State, DEA, Board certification
Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
Experience in HIV care and MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) (preferred)
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse patient population in community health setting.
