Primary Care Physician, Family or Internal Medicine

Department: Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities; Location: Macon, GA 31207; Additional Locations: (other possible locations)

Clinic: Mercer Center for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Care, Mercer Medicine; Job Family: Staff Clinical Services; Exempt; Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40.

Responsibilities

This position is expected to contribute to maintaining a financially viable clinical practice at our Center for IDD Care Mercer Medicine clinic in Macon, GA.

Qualifications

Hold an M.D., D.O., or similar degree and be board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

Be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Georgia.

Demonstrate strong experience working in interdisciplinary healthcare education and clinical settings.

Experience in a health‑related clinical area is desirable.

Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings is desirable.

Ability to work well with others in a clinical setting.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience presenting and communicating medical concepts to clinical and lay audiences.

Familiarity and/or experience with medical settings and culture.
