Primary Care Physician Farmington, MO (Contract-to-Hire Opportunity) Located about 1 hour from St. LouisOverview:A TJC-accredited mental health facility is seeking a Primary Care Physician to provide long-term medical care for adult patients. This is a unique opportunity to build meaningful physician-patient relationships in a slower-paced setting not a typical hospitalist role.Assignment Structure:Initial Contract: 1099 independent contractor, 36 months.Potential Transition: Eligible for full-time W2 employment after the contract period.Position Highlights:Manage a low patient load oversee 6080 long-term patients, typically seeing <10 per day.Work alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team (PCPs, NPs, psychiatrists, treatment specialists).Focus on primary care and health maintenance for a diverse population.Enjoy the small-town charm of Farmington, MO, with outdoor recreation and a low cost of living just an hour from St. Louis.Compensation & Benefits:Competitive 1099 contract pay during initial term.Upon conversion to W2, physicians are eligible for:Defined-benefit pension funded by the State of Missouri (vested in 5 years).Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and disability insurance.Life insurance options (some fully funded by the state).Flexible spending accounts & retirement savings plans.Discounts on services such as cell phones, mortgages, and more.Licensing & Requirements:MD or DO degree, completion of accredited residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.Missouri medical license preferred; will consider candidates completing training or needing licensing.Open to candidates under visa waiver requirements.Must be licensed to practice independently (no collaborator required).
