Job description
Providence is partnering with a local community practice to seek a motivated and compassionate Primary Care Physician (DO/MD) who is eager to join a growing team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This practice has a mission to improve the health of our community one patient at a time by providing comprehensive family medicine services to patients of all ages, races, and ethnicities in a recognized Tier 5 Patient-Centered Primary Care Home. The team takes pride in exceeding standards, proactively supporting patient wellness, and cultivating a welcoming, inclusive environment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative setting while also enjoying the opportunity to build their own patient panel.
nKey responsibilities include:
nnnWorking full-time (32-40 hours) as part of an experienced, supportive care team.
n
nnIndependently performing comprehensive patient assessments, including history, physical exams, and treatment planning for complex acute, critical, and chronic conditions.
n
nnMaintaining and reviewing patient records, charts, and pertinent information.
n
nnOrdering and interpreting diagnostic and therapeutic tests tailored to patients' age-specific needs.
n
nnPrescribing appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments.
n
nnCollaborating with multidisciplinary team members and making appropriate referrals.
n
nnEducating patients and families on medications, treatments, health maintenance, and illness prevention.
n
nnProviding patient education on community resources to address long-term health needs.
n
nnDemonstrating a desire to grow with the practice and actively contributing to its success.
n
nnQualifications and Education Requirements:
n
nnGraduation from an accredited medical school.
n
nnLicensed in Oregon as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or Medical Doctor (MD).
n
nnBoard certified by the relevant specialty board.
n
nnCurrent CPR certification as per American Heart Association guidelines.
n
n nPreferred Skills:
nnnMinimum of three years of professional experience in a clinical setting, with at least two years of clinical patient care experience.
n
nnProficiency in computer operations, including electronic medical records (Centricity experience is a plus).
n
nnSolid understanding of standard care practices for common chronic health conditions, health promotion, and prevention guidelines.
n
nnExcellent administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
n
nnDemonstrated ability to adapt to a dynamic and evolving healthcare environment.
n
nnProfessional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
