Job description
A community-focused healthcare organization in southeast Kansas, near the Missouri and Oklahoma borders is looking to add a full-time Primary Care Physician to its team. BE/BC physicians with a background in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics are encouraged to apply.
Position Highlights:
Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care including preventive, acute and chronic care
Manage patient conditions through coordinated care plans and appropriate follow-up
Collaborate with behavioral health providers and other members of the care team
Provide referrals to internal specialists and external community resources as needed
Prescribe medications and provide clinical consultation to other providers
Opportunity to supervise APPs and medical students , as assigned
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and help maintain high standards of patient care
Serve a diverse, underserved patient population in a community-oriented setting
Participate in an after-hours call system, including care for the organization's inpatient population, as assigned
Qualifications:
Full licensure to practice medicine in Kansas and/or Oklahoma
Graduation from an accredited medical school
Completion of an appropriate residency
Board Certified in the appropriate specialty
Strong community/public health orientation preferred
Commitment to serving underserved populations
