Principal Software Engineer (C#/.NET & Azure)
Location: Plano, TX (4 days onsite) WILL NOT CONSIDER ANYONE OUTSIDE OF DFW AREA

Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Principal Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver enterprise-scale software solutions that support both customer-facing and internal business applications. This role requires a highly technical engineer with deep expertise in C#/.NET, Azure cloud technologies, software architecture, and distributed systems.
The ideal candidate has a strong track record of building scalable, high-performance applications, driving architectural decisions, mentoring engineering teams, and delivering cloud-native solutions in complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade software solutions using C# and .NET technologies.
Architect and build scalable cloud-based applications utilizing Microsoft Azure services.
Design and develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architectures.
Lead technical design discussions and establish engineering best practices.
Drive software quality through automated testing, code reviews, and development standards.
Collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver business-critical solutions.
Participate in proof-of-concept initiatives, technology evaluations, and modernization efforts.
Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple development teams.
Contribute to CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud deployment strategies.
Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Extensive experience developing enterprise applications using C# and .NET.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
Expertise designing and implementing REST APIs and microservices.
Advanced SQL Server and relational database design experience.
Strong knowledge of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and software architecture.
Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and modern testing methodologies.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Strong understanding of source control, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building cloud-native applications and distributed systems.
Knowledge of containerization technologies and modern deployment architectures.
Exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling.
Experience in highly regulated or large-scale enterprise environments.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
