Principal Electrical Engineer – Digital Hardware (150-200K)
We have an exciting opportunity available to join a cutting-edge DoD sensing technology manufacturer in the Syracuse area.

Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of advanced digital hardware for next-generation products.
Design multi-layer PCBs, develop schematics, and support board layout activities.
Architect and develop FPGA solutions using VHDL and/or Verilog on modern Xilinx platforms.
Perform hardware integration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and production support.
Design high-speed digital interfaces, data acquisition systems, digital signal processing (DSP), and communication architectures.
Develop Python and Bash scripts to automate engineering workflows and improve efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's or Master'sdegree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
10-15+ years of digital hardware design experience.
Experience designing analog and digital circuits including FPGAs, microcontrollers, memory, and high-speed interfaces.
Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and similar lab equipment.
Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
Preferred Experience
Altium Designer.
Xilinx Vivado.
RF Systems or Software Defined Radio (SDR).
Digital Signal Processing (DSP).
MATLAB, Python, and Linux.
Experience performing design reviews and providing technical leadership.
