Job description
Design and develop FPGA firmware using VHDL for mission-critical applications
Implement and integrate high-speed interfaces, including SERDES, PCIe, DDR, and LVDS
Perform static timing analysis and resolve clock domain crossing challenges
Conduct digital simulations to verify functionality and support hands‑on hardware bring‑up and lab debugging
Create and maintain automation scripts to streamline design and testing workflows
Minimum Qualifications
Active Secret security clearance
8+ years of FPGA or ASIC design experience (or fewer years with an advanced degree)
Strong proficiency in VHDL or Verilog HDL coding
Familiarity with development tools such as Xilinx Vivado or Intel/Altera Quartus
Experience with digital simulation tools (ModelSim/Questa) and static timing analysis
Hands‑on experience with high-speed interfaces (SERDES, PCIe, DDR2/3/4, LVDS)
Familiarity with revision control systems (Git, Subversion, etc.) and scripting languages (Python, Tcl, Perl, or shell)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience updating and enhancing legacy FPGA designs
Leadership experience or background leading design teams
Familiarity with data conversion techniques (ADC/DAC)
Required Skills
