Job description
Create scalable, reliable, and high-performing software solutions that drive client results and business growth
Modernize and mature existing platforms
Drive adoption of best engineering processes and foster innovation and productivity
Provide hands-on architectural and coding leadership
Drive and evangelize architecture for new and existing platforms and applications
Deliver thought leadership, strategic direction, consulting, standards, and technology guidance
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance architectures and software solutions
Lead development of architecture strategies, frameworks, and governance processes
Establish long-term software architecture direction
Collaborate with stakeholders and product owners on engineering costs and service level agreements
Standardize engineering processes, software libraries, and reusable components
Develop, train, and drive adoption of modern engineering principles, tools, and technologies
Improve alignment, consistency, workflows, efficiency, collaboration, and scalability across the engineering organization
Provide technical leadership and advance engineering guild maturity through best practices and newer technologies
Mentor engineers and create or identify training and continuous learning opportunities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leaders on technical feasibility, technology selection, implementation approaches, and architecture
Requirements
Minimum 10+ years working as a Software Engineer, Software Architect, or similarly technical field
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
Demonstrated expertise in software frameworks, technologies, and development
Proven track record collaborating on technical projects with cross-functional teams
Deep hands-on development experience establishing architecture and driving organizational adoption
Experience with DevSecOps principles, CI/CD tools, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Engineering leadership experience, including leading engineering teams and motivating cross-functional teams
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including translating complex technical details to diverse audiences
Project management skills, including Agile methodologies and project management tools
Experience developing software supporting business consulting fields or enterprise SaaS solutions
Contributions to open-source projects or active involvement in tech communities
Ability and enthusiasm to mentor junior team members or peers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Willingness to work outside normal business hours as project needs arise
Ability to work full time in office and remote environments
Ability to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a screen for significant portions of the workday
