Job description

Job Title: Principal Process Engineer

Duration: Initially 1-year

Schedule: M-F 5/40 – hybrid

Location: Houston, TX

Oversees the successful execution of contractor and supplier Process engineering work starting in the early project development phases through the project Execute phase. Coordinates the execution of engineering scopes with the functional E&C Engineering team and all other discipline engineering teams. Ensures compliance with project specifications, company guidelines and philosophies, and maintains the technical integrity of the engineering throughout the project life cycle.

Duties And Responsibilities

Leads and manages assigned phases of the technical development and implementation of LNG and energy infrastructure projects.

Utilizes and updates documentation in the Engineering Knowledge Bank.

Serves as the company's representative during design phase at the contractor's office(s).

Serves as the company’s primary representative within industry workgroups and consortia.

Ensures engineering projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

Oversees in-depth assessments of system breakdowns and develops corrective actions.

Guides the design, construction, and commissioning of large-scale infrastructure projects.

Conducts high-level engineering assessments for major expansion or modernization projects.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Requires a 4-year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Experience

Typically requires 10 years of related experience.

Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of 10 years of prior experience working on International Oil & Gas Projects, specifically in LNG import and export facilities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to architect solutions that address enterprise-level engineering needs.

Ability to communicate strategic technical recommendations to senior leadership.

Ability to influence technical direction beyond immediate team boundaries.

Expert knowledge of engineering principles within a defined specialty or domain.

Knowledge of regulatory, operational, and business constraints affecting designs.

Skill in defining technical approaches and standards for complex initiatives.

Skill in resolving ambiguous, high-risk technical problems.

Licenses and Certifications

PE License preferred.
