Role: Principal Program Manager - Contract to Hire

Contract Start Date: ASAP

Rate: $67.28 - $87.75/hour W2, dependent on skills and qualifications

Location: Local to MN, need to be open to coming on-site in Minneapolis, MN

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Principal Program Manager to lead large-scale, complex enterprise technology programs. This role requires someone who has operated at a true program level—overseeing multiple interconnected workstreams and project managers, managing significant budgets, and driving strategic initiatives across business and technology teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading $20M+ enterprise programs and large-scale Salesforce initiatives, with responsibility for overall program strategy, delivery, budget, risk, dependencies, and executive stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead large-scale enterprise programs consisting of multiple projects and complex, interdependent workstreams.

Provide direction and oversight to multiple Project Managers responsible for individual projects/workstreams within the broader program.

Manage program budgets of $20M+, including resource allocation, financial oversight, scope, timelines, and delivery.

Lead complex Salesforce/CRM transformation and implementation initiatives across business and technology teams.

Establish program strategy, objectives, roadmaps, governance, milestones, and measures of success.

Manage cross-program risks, dependencies, issues, and tradeoffs while driving decisions and course corrections.

Partner with executive sponsors, business leaders, technology teams, vendors, and implementation partners.

Provide executive-level program reporting and recommendations while ensuring alignment across all workstreams.

Lead programs through organizational and technology change using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of progressive program/project management experience, including significant enterprise-level program leadership.

Demonstrated experience leading $20M+ programs with multiple concurrent projects/workstreams.

Experience overseeing and providing direction to multiple Project Managers responsible for workstreams within a larger program.

Prior experience leading large-scale Salesforce/CRM implementations or transformation programs.

Experience managing complex technology implementations involving cross-functional business and technology teams.

Strong program-level budget, risk, dependency, resource, and vendor management experience.

Proven ability to communicate with and influence senior executives and program sponsors.

Experience working with implementation partners and large, cross-functional teams.

Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, and hybrid delivery methodologies.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Healthcare industry experience.

Experience with CTI, Omnichannel, or other enterprise customer service technologies.
