We are looking for a Principal Specialist Sales Engineer for Data Security serving our customers in the Majors segment. This reports directly to the Director, Specialist Sales Engineers, Data Security. In this role you’ll partner closely with sales teams to shape and win strategic opportunities. You will translate complex customer requirements into compelling solutions, lead hands-on evaluations, and guide prospects to successful outcomes.

What You’ll Do

Create and deliver technical product presentations to prospective customers.

Gather customer technical requirements to ensure proposed solutions align to goals and needs.

Lead product evaluations and custom product configurations.

Design evaluation test plans with customers and guide the process to successful outcomes.

What We’re Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)

Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance daily workflows and augment problem-solving

BSCS or equivalent with extensive experience as an SE or systems integrator, 5+ years of Pre-Sales experience, including 3+ years selling security/networking solutions in direct or high-touch environments.

Experience with data protection and web-related technologies.

Experience in a matrix role working with the broader GTM team to promote, sell, and support the Data Security business line.

Experience in Commercial/high velocity segment

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

Experience with Zscaler (or competitive solutions) in the Data Protection market.

Understanding of SaaS technologies and regulatory compliance for the geography.

Success working in a matrix environment, teaming with a broader GTM and partner ecosystem.

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range

$175,875—$251,250 USD
