Pharmacy Prior Authorization SpecialistContract-to-Hire | Full-Time | Onsite in Pittsburgh, PA Rotating Shifts: Days & Evenings (EST) Pay Rate: 18-20+/hr (depending on experience level) Oxford Solutions is seeking a Pharmacy Prior Authorization Specialist to join a growing pharmacy support team in Pittsburgh. In this role, you will help patients gain timely access to needed medications by processing prior authorizations and insurance verifications quickly and accurately. You will collaborate with medical offices, prescribers, and patients while ensuring a high level of customer service.ResponsibilitiesInitiate new prior authorization requests with providersIdentify and complete correct insurance and provider formsCoordinate with prescribers to submit requestsFollow up with medical offices to track status of authorizationsCommunicate updates clearly to patients and providersSupport appeal processes when necessaryProvide assistance to internal teams regarding prior authorizationsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required (Bachelor's degree a plus)Minimum 1 year of prior authorization experience in a pharmacy setting (required)Knowledge of pharmacy benefits and claims processesStrong communication and customer service skillsDetail-oriented with solid problem-solving abilitiesProficient with computer systems and data entryAbility to work rotating day/evening shiftsJob Details6-Month Contract-to-HireFull-Time, Onsite in Pittsburgh, PAPharmacy Prior Authorization Specialist -
