Job description
A DMV‑based private investment firm is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join its team in 2027. They partner with founders and managers of lower-middle market businesses. This opportunity offers exposure to a broad range of industries, including business services, industrials, and consumer healthcare while also providing the chance to work closely with senior decision makers on a lean deal team. The Associate will receive meaningful responsibility and extensive hands‑on transaction exposure across the full investment life cycle.
Private Equity Associate Qualifications:
2-3 years of investment banking and/or management consulting, experience.
Strong analytical, financial modeling, and communication skills expected of a top‑tier Private Equity Associate.
Ability to manage multiple work streams in an entrepreneurial, fast‑paced setting.
Private Equity Associate Responsibilities
Conduct research, market analysis, and financial modeling to support the investment process for the private equity associate function.
Support due‑diligence work streams, coordinate with external advisors, and prepare investment committee materials.
Build and refine operating models, valuation frameworks, and return analyses to support transaction decisions.
Partner with portfolio company leadership teams on performance tracking, strategic initiatives, and value‑creation projects.
Contribute to a collaborative, roll‑up‑your‑sleeves culture aligned with the firm's growth‑oriented investment philosophy.
