Experience: 3-5 years' PQE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a mid-level associate to join the private funds practice of a highly regarded US law firm in the Bay Area.
The successful candidate will focus on representing investors in venture capital investments involving emerging and high-growth companies. This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated transactions alongside an experienced team advising leading market participants.
The role
Advise investors on venture capital financings involving emerging companies
Draft, review and negotiate investment and transaction documents
Manage due diligence and coordinate key stages of the investment process
Work closely with clients, partners and colleagues across related practice areas
Support investors on matters involving private investment funds
Take increasing responsibility for transactions and client relationships
Candidate profile
Approximately 3-5 years' relevant post-qualification experience
Significant experience in venture capital investment financings
Experience acting for investors or representing emerging companies
Experience representing investors in private investment funds would be advantageous
Strong drafting, analytical and transaction-management skills
Excellent academic credentials and communication skills
Admitted to practise in the relevant jurisdiction, or eligible to become admitted
