Are you an experienced Social Worker, passionate about providing therapeutic care in a behavioral health facility? Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral is looking for you! We are currently recruiting for Inpatient PRN Counselors .
Position Summary
The Inpatient Counselor will be responsible for providing quality case management and psychotherapeutic services to patients and their families.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team supporting the organization's treatment program and philosophy.
Conducts psychosocial assessements to document history and identify preliminary issues
Provide group and family process-oriented therapies
Treatment Planning
Initial discharge plan formulated and noted on pyschosocial within 72 hours of admission

Qualifications
Education : Master's Degree in a behavioral science or mental health related field required.
Experience : Clinical and administrative experience in an inpatient and outpatient mental health setting preferred. Possess general knowledge of all areas of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment.
Age-Specific Competencies : Adults
Licensure/Certification : CPR and CPI certification training provided upon hire.
Other : Ability to relate well with treatment professionals; Ability to mobilize and coordinate staff resources; skills in dealing courteously with the public and individuals within the organization and counseling centers; organizational skills; ability to keep information highly confidential; ability to meet deadlines; basic data entry skills preferred; time management skills.
HIPAA: Has access to Medical Records of cases to which they are assigned work, for quality compliance and risk related issues. Use of PHI is for purposes of Healthcare Operations.
