Cumberland Hospital for Children and Adolescents
located in New Kent, Virginia, provides comprehensive medical, behavioral, rehabilitative, and educational services for children and adolescents ages 2 through 22 who are challenged by co-occurring medical and behavioral diagnoses. Cumberland Hospital is one of the few specialty children’s hospitals providing dual treatment protocols for both medical and mental health issues. Cumberland includes a 62-bed Hospital Program, a 16-bed Inpatient Acute Program, and 30-bed Residential Treatment Program. Our goal is to stabilize medical problems and help children develop positive behavioral coping strategies using an interdisciplinary approach.
Our Current Shift Openings:
3:00pm - 11:30pm
7:00pm - 7:00am
7:00am - 7:00pm
11:00am - 11:00pm
We try to accommodate shift preference; however, not all shifts are available at all times
Hired candidates must be able to commit to a 2-week new employee orientation, approx. 8:00am-4:30pm each day, Monday-Friday

Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
Supervises patient and staff activities on a hospital-wide basis assuring provision of quality care and a safe, therapeutic environment
Serves as administrative presence on alternative shift providing liaison activities as appropriate
Coordinates activities in emergency or unusual circumstances assuring continuity and appropriate functioning of operations
The Administrative Supervisor shall provide and encourage participation in staff education programs
Communicates with unit and service coordinators to assure consistency and continuity in maintaining hospital standards
Fulfills responsibilities to the hospital in adherence to philosophy and general policy.
Works collaboratively as a member of the multi-disciplinary team
Establish, manage and monitor safety standards, processes, communications, training and systems for employees
Other duties as assigned
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
BSN required, MSN preferred
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
Current HWC and CPR certifications
Education/Experience:
Minimum of 4 years in a behavioral health setting and one year supervisory experience
Demonstrated ability to provide training and education
Working knowledge of JC standards, OSHA and Commonwealth of Virginia requirements for employee training and education
