Job description
We are seeking a compassionate PRN Psychiatric & Family Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality psychiatric and medical care in a behavioral health setting.
Key Responsibilities Include
Conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
Diagnosing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
Prescribing and managing psychiatric medications, monitoring effectiveness and side effects.
Assessing patient risk using tools like C-SSRS and PHQ-9.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to deliver integrated care.
Reviewing diagnostic results and ensuring thorough documentation in compliance with regulations.
Qualifications And Skills
Master's degree or higher in Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner credentials.
Experience in addiction medicine or behavioral health preferred.
Licensed to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the appropriate state.
DEA licensure to prescribe controlled substances, with training on opioid and substance use disorder management.
Strong communication skills, self-motivation, and confidence.
Familiarity with healthcare standards such as JCAHO, ASAM, and quality improvement processes is preferred.
