At Moffitt Cancer Center, our gastroenterologists use endoscopy to diagnose and treat noncancerous, precancerous and cancerous conditions of the gastrointestinal tract. Our gastroenterologists have the experience necessary to treat complex and challenging cases as well as common diagnoses, and our individualized approach to treatment ensures that a one-of-a-kind plan is optimized for each patient’s unique needs. Depending on a patient’s diagnosis and the symptoms he or she is experiencing, our team might recommend any of the following endoscopic procedures: • Colonoscopy • Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) or upper endoscopy • Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) • Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatographies (ERCP) At Moffitt, all endoscopy-based procedures are performed by experienced gastroenterologists who have specialized training in the field. Our gastroenterologists collaborate with the surgical oncologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and supportive care providers to ensure that each patient’s unique needs are met. This multispecialty approach allows us to not only produce exceptional outcomes but improve each patient’s quality of life throughout treatment and recovery. We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team. Position Highlights: • The Registered Nurse delivers individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with established hospital guidelines, nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards and policies and in accordance with ANA code of ethics and external regulatory agencies. • Registered Nurses embody the vision, mission, and philosophy of Moffitt Nursing and are committed to and accountable for personalized patient and family centered care and the concepts of Duffy's quality caring model/caring factors. These frameworks of care include collaboration and mutual problem solving, dignity and human respect, encouraging manner, attentive reassurance, appreciation of unique meaning, healing environment, basic human needs, information sharing, caring for self, and affiliation needs. • Registered Nurses use the nursing process to effectively plan and manage quality patient care. Biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational and discharge planning needs are addressed in all steps of the nursing process. This is demonstrated in baseline and comparative documentation, entered in a timely manner, and with evidence of age-appropriate consideration when care is planned, delivered, and evaluated. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: ◦ Strong IV skills ◦ 3 years of Procedural recovery Responsibilities: • Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families. Integrates patient and family centered care and the quality caring factors into practice • Identifies, documents, and provides patient education based on learning needs of the patient • Participates in Evidence based improvement activities related to area of practice • Participates in professional development based on the nursing professionals' standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations Credentials and Qualifications: • BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with at least two years of relevant experience or ASN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with 2 years of relevant experience • FL RN License • BLS and ACLS Certification\"**Job Title:** Pool Nurse Unit **Minimum Education Level:** Bachelor's Degree **Minimum Field of Study:** Nursing **Minimum Education Notes:** In lieu of Bachelors, an Associate's degree in Nursing plus 1 year of relevant experience may be considered **Licensure Certification Needed:** Yes **Minimum Licensure:** Registered Nurse (RN)Basic Life Support (BLS)Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) **Minimum Licensure (Other):** RN-Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of FL, or a valid Multi-State privilege to practice in FL (must declare FL as primary State of residence within 60 days from date of hire if licensed in another eNLC compact state with multi-state privileges) **Training Required:** **Preferred Licensure:** Other (If other, please enter details in section to the right) **Preferred Licensure (Other):** National Nursing specialty certifications**Salary Range**$44.25 - $44.25
