As a Process Quality Internal Auditor III, you will take on a role in leading and executing internal audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems (QMS). This highly experienced position involves advanced auditing, process improvement, and regulatory compliance, requiring substantial expertise and leadership in quality assurance.
nThe Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber.
nResponsibilities:
nnnLead and conduct complex internal audits to ensure QMS compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
n
nnDevelop and manage audit schedules, ensuring timely and effective execution.
n
nnEnsure comprehensive adherence to ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
n
nnLead the development and implementation of corrective actions for audit findings.
n
nnDrive strategic process improvement initiatives and support continuous quality enhancement.
n
nnTrain and mentor junior auditors and other staff on quality standards and audit procedures.
n
nnCollaborate with various departments to integrate quality standards into all processes.
n
nnDevelop strategies for ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance.
n
nnManage external audits and supplier audits.
n
n nQualifications You Must Have:
nnnBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
n
nn5+ Years as an auditor, or in a related field.
n
nnRelevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of related experience is required.
n
nnHigher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
n
nnAdvanced knowledge and utilization of AS9100, ISO 9001 and other applicable Military and statutory standards and specifications.
n
nnExperience participating in external audits as guide.
n
nnStrong leadership, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
n
n nQualifications We Prefer:
nnnCertified Auditor or equivalent experience.
n
nnExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
nnExcellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and database experience.
n
nnExperience with Statistical Analysis Methodology.
n
nnCommunicate and present internal audit information.
n
nnExperience participating in external audits as facilitator.
n
nnExperience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
n
nnFamiliarization with Six Sigma.
n
n nEssential Functions:
nnnAbility to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.

nnRequirement to be on feet for a significant portion of the work shift.

nnMajority of work hours spent on a computer.
n
nnHand/finger dexterity for using office equipment.
n
nnAbility to work in an office or hybrid environment.

nnOccasional travel may be required for audit activities at different locations.
