In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the processing crew, ensuring team members communicate effectively, remain highly productive, and work safely toward shared production goals.ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & AdministrationSupervise personnel: Oversee interviewing, hiring, training, and performance evaluations in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.Develop staff: Mentor crew members through active coaching, performance rewards, and fair disciplinary actions.Resolve conflicts: Address employee complaints and resolve interpersonal problems early to maintain a positive shop culture.Logistics & OperationsCoordinate logistics: Partner with the Production and Facilities/Maintenance Managers to align plant logistics with current project demands.Optimize workflow: Collaborate with the Material Processing Lead to organize, schedule, and maintain a steady, efficient flow of materials.Maximize efficiency: Position and stage materials to minimize physical handling, eliminate inefficiencies, and maximize daily output.Stage projects: Ensure all projects are properly kitted, stored, and staged to seamlessly support the master production schedule.Continuous Improvement & StrategyDrive innovation: Promote and integrate new processes, procedures, and equipment to continuously improve material flow.Project planning: Participate in project kick-off and job release meetings, focusing on shop efficiency to compress fabrication timelines.RequirementsExperience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in material processing, fabrication, or manufacturing supervision.Education: High School Diploma or GED required.Core competencies: Strong skills in organization, project prioritization, quality evaluation, and interpersonal relationship building.Generous Employee Benefits Package Include:MIW Apparel AllowanceHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision Insurance6 1/2 Paid HolidaysPTOCompany Sponsored $25K Life Insurance PolicyShort- and Long-Term Disability Insurance401K with Company MatchQuartey Profit SharingProfessional Development OpportunitiesReferral ProgramAccess to Employee Assistance Program
