Processing TechnicianSelect Sires, Inc. is seeking a Processing Technician to join our production team in Plain City, Ohio. This position plays a critical role in the processing, packaging, cryopreservation, storage, and inventory management of the high-quality genetic products that livestock producers rely on every day. This position reports to the Manager, Non-EU Semen Packaging and Cryopreservation.Full-time, hourly, non-exempt positionMonday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Work schedules and responsibilities may be adjusted to support production and business needs.What You'll DoPrint bull and collection information onto straws using specialized jet print systems.Fill, seal, rack, freeze, and store straws according to established procedures.Update inventory records using proprietary software systems.Move products to designated storage locations.Monitor and maintain liquid nitrogen levels in storage tanks and shipping containers.Safely move and handle inventory tanks.Detect and report defective materials, equipment concerns, or unusual operating conditions.Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment.Follow quality standards, operating procedures, and safety requirements.Support departmental production goals and continuous improvement efforts.What We're Looking ForStrong verbal and written communication skills.Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Commitment to safety and quality.Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.High school diploma or equivalent.Experience in manufacturing, production, agriculture, laboratory operations, warehousing, or a related environment.Experience using inventory management systems or production equipment.Familiarity with quality-control procedures and safe material-handling practices.Physical RequirementsStand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.Frequently bend and stoop.Lift and carry materials and inventory.Work safely around cryogenic materials, including liquid nitrogen.Follow all safety protocols and procedures.Why Join Select Sires?Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits401(k) retirement benefitsPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development opportunitiesInternal and external training programsCareer advancement pathwaysCollaborative, team-oriented work environmentOpportunity to make a meaningful impact on the global livestock industryAbout Select SiresBased in Plain City, Ohio, Select Sires, Inc. is committed to maximizing the productivity, profitability, and sustainability of livestock producers.
