Produce the World's Best Bovine Genetics
Select Sires, Inc. is seeking a Processing Technician to join our production team in Plain City, Ohio. This position plays a critical role in the processing, packaging, cryopreservation, storage, and inventory management of the high-quality genetic products that livestock producers rely on every day. This position reports to the Manager, Non-EU Semen Packaging and Cryopreservation.
Work Schedule
* Full-time, hourly, non-exempt position
* Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
* Work schedules and responsibilities may be adjusted to support production and business needs.
What You'll Do
* Print bull and collection information onto straws using specialized jet print systems.
* Fill, seal, rack, freeze, and store straws according to established procedures.
* Update inventory records using proprietary software systems.
* Move products to designated storage locations.
* Monitor and maintain liquid nitrogen levels in storage tanks and shipping containers.
* Safely move and handle inventory tanks.
* Detect and report defective materials, equipment concerns, or unusual operating conditions.
* Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment.
* Follow quality standards, operating procedures, and safety requirements.
* Support departmental production goals and continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements:

Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
* Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
* Frequently bend and stoop.
* Lift and carry materials and inventory.
* Work safely around cryogenic materials, including liquid nitrogen.
* Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
