BUYER / PROCUREMENT ENGINEER – MISSION-CRITICAL CONSTRUCTION
I’m currently recruiting for mid-level to senior Buyers and Procurement Engineers with strong experience purchasing electrical, mechanical, or construction-related materials and equipment.
This is an opportunity to join an organization involved in large-scale, mission-critical construction and infrastructure projects, including data centers, hospitals, airports, manufacturing facilities, and other complex facilities.
What They’re Looking For
- 8+ years of hands-on purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience
- Experience purchasing electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or construction materials/equipment
- Background with an electrical/mechanical contractor, construction company, manufacturer, distributor, or major infrastructure organization
- Experience working directly with suppliers, manufacturers, vendors, and project teams
- Strong understanding of pricing, lead times, sourcing, supplier management, and project material requirements
- Engineering or Supply Chain degree preferred
- Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering background is a plus
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to project requirements
Ideal Backgrounds
Candidates with experience in environments such as:
- Electrical or mechanical contracting
- Mission-critical/data center construction
- Electrical distribution or manufacturing
- Large-scale commercial construction
- EPC/project procurement
- Industrial construction or manufacturing
- Facilities engineering and operations
This is a hands-on project procurement role, so candidates should have direct experience buying the materials and equipment required to support construction, engineering, manufacturing, or facility projects.
