Among the notable recognitions, the city received gold certification as a Community for all Ages and was designated a Walk Friendly Community and Bicycle Friendly Community.The Procurement Officer I, under the supervision of the Procurement and Contract Services Manager, provides high quality service to City departments by efficiently processing cooperative agreements and small solicitations for commodities and services. Facilitates contract administration in accordance with City's Procurement policies and procedures.Pay range: $18.42-$23.55 per hourMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredMinimum of three years' experience in business related field requiredAssociates Degree preferredPublic sector experience preferredNecessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Basic knowledge and application of the principles, practices, and methodology of procurement, accounting, problem solving, and specification writingBasic knowledge of municipal government operations, State, Federal and local laws and ordinances, rules and regulations, procedures, contracts, services, products and supply sourcesAbility to communicate effectively, verbally and in writingAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments and the publicAbility to organize data in the form of a chart/graph/table and present the data to assist internal departments in making decisions.
