Job Details
What you will be doing:
Leading and developing the plant procurement team and storeroom department end to end
Owning all external spend for the facility with a focus on best total cost, lowest sourcing risk, and strongest supplier performance
Managing MRO supplies, contractors, engineering services, local service providers, and third party outsourcing of production processes
Building and executing strategic and tactical plans that drive cost savings, working capital improvement, and process efficiency
Running non-commercial events like Kaizen workshops, supplier productivity sessions, and inventory workshops
Serving as the key bridge between procurement and plant operations, maintenance, and finance leadership
Overseeing two direct reports including a strategic buyer and a storeroom manager
What you need to bring:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
5+ years of purchasing management experience
Background in manufacturing is required, automotive or aerospace experience is a strong plus
Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
U.S. Person status required (ITAR compliance)
CPSM certification is a nice to have but not required
