Job description
Job Title: Procurement Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist to take full ownership of our procurement process and support our Accounts Payable (AP) team. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective management of procurement functions and the improvement of purchasing controls within our organization.
Responsibilities
Submit and track purchase orders to ensure timely processing.
Conduct data entry and cross-checking activities for accuracy.
Match invoices against purchase orders to maintain financial integrity.
Maintain procurement documentation in SharePoint for easy access and organization.
Help improve controls around purchasing to streamline processes.
Essential Skills
3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing coordination, or accounting support.
Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
Detail-oriented approach to work.
Experience in reconciling and validating transactions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience in a manual environment using Excel and SharePoint.
Month-end bank reconciliations experience.
Experience with multi-entity and intercompany purchase orders.
Familiarity with Sage and NetSuite systems a plus
Work Environment
This is a fully remote position, offering a flexible work schedule across various time zones. You will have exposure to a growing organization that operates in a multi-entity and multi-currency environment. Additionally, there is an opportunity for contract-to-hire conversion.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Darien, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
